First dates are always interesting. As a guy you want to plan something that is casual and fun so that she wants to go out with again. You also want to make sure that it's simple enough that if there are no sparks you not stuck spending 4 hours together.
For my first date with Wendy I didn't have to worry about time management. Her schedule only allowed me a brief window between eight and nine PM. Nothing is better as a one hour date than ice cream at Maggie Moo's. Only one hitch; she showed up late. I didn't even have a full hour in which to impress the girl; she still needed to leave by 9pm. It appears that I succeeded. Our less than 1 hour date turned into a 3 hour talk marathon. I think we only ended because our tables were within the automatic sprinklers range.
