Take me out to the ball game!

The home field for the Baltimore Orioles was a two to three minute walk away from our hotel. Wendy's museum group had a couple of people who actually follow baseball.  So as an evening activity we went to a baseball game; as an added bonus the game was against everyone's favorite team to hate, the Yankees.

I also had a fun time playing with our telephoto lens. I thought these were fairly decent shots from up in the nosebleed sections of the park.

Oh yea. In case anyone wondered. The Yankees lost.

Learning how to surf!

During our recent vacation to the Oregon coast we saw a lot of people out in the waves surfing. I made an offhand comment to Wendy that I've always wanted to learn how to surf. I should know better than that. She spent the next thirty minutes finding a place that teaches surfing and making an appointment for me there. Isn't she great? I had a blast. I even was able to get up a couple of times.

Wendy and Ben's Story - Freestyle Ski Championships

Wendy currently resides in a city in which skiing is a lifestyle; not just an activity. On one of my weekends off (February 4th, 2011) we decided to go to a freestyle ski competition.  What people do on skis amazes me. There was only one drawback to attending the event. It got COLD! I’m usually a person who doesn’t get cold easily. I almost wonder if Wendy took me to this event just to evaluated whether I would get cold or not. I did.
